Bernard Coen was a very good friend of USS West Virginia veteran Erland Schumann. He was a member of the 6th division. Coen died a resident of South Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Coen reported aboard the USS West Virginia on January 1941 and was present on December 7, 1941.
