USS West Virginia Veteran

Marvin L. Carson, FC3/c, born Nov. 6, 1923, Gerlaw, IL, graduated high school and joined the USNR Oct. 5, 1943. He was stationed at Farragut, ID, Lake Union Seattle, WA, and aboard the USS West Virginia.

Memorable experiences include serving aboard the West Virginia from early in 1944 until the end of the war. He was discharged March 22, 1946.

He has four children and eight grandchildren. He is self-employed as a farmer in Gerlaw, IL.
