USS West Virginia Veteran

Aviation Radioman Second Class Andrew Chup was killed on November 8, 1944 when the Kingfisher plane in which he was a passenger lost a wing and crashed.  The pilot of the plane was Lt. Commander Robert M. Rocktaschel.  Their deaths were the Wee Vee's first deaths since Pearl Harbor.
