Wayne Albert Ribble, Chief Petty Officer, born Jan. 9, 1922, Wagner, SD. He joined the USN in May 1939 and served in the USS West Virginia. Military stations include Great Lakes, Pearl Harbor, Dutch Harbor and the South Pacific.

Participated in action at Pearl Harbor, Asiatic Fleet and Normandy invasion. CPO Ribble was discharged in August 1945. His awards include the Purple Heart, South Pacific, Invasion, Good Conduct and Silver Star.

Employed as electrical engineer, marketing manager, Sears, until retirement in September 1978. Hobbies are golf and gin rummy.
