USS West Virginia Veteran

Henry William Edwards Jr., Seaman 1/c, born June 29, 1917, Chicago, IL, completed high school and joined the USN Sept. 14, 1935. He was stationed at NTS San Diego and aboard the USS West Virginia.

The entire cruise was memorable. He was discharged June 14, 1939, with the rank of S 1/c. He received the Good Conduct Medal.
Married Helena Balfour and they have three children and four grandchildren. He worked as a general contractor in California for 50 years. He enjoys golf and his family.
