Norman C. Martin, Lieutenant(jg), born Feb. 15, 1909, Mount Olive, MS, completed high school and joined the USN on Dec. 15, 1930. He served aboard the USS Washington (BB-56); USS Attu (CVE-102); USS Warrick (AKA-89); USS Ajax; New Orleans, 8th Naval District; Treasure Island, San Francisco; two tours on Guam; attended Refrigeration School, San Diego, CA; and Compressed Gases School, Portsmouth, VA.

Discharged Dec. 14, 1953, with the rank of lieutenant(jg). Decorations and medals include the Good Conduct Medal, China Service Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal w/Asia Clasp, Korean Service Medal, American Defense Award, WWII Victory Medal and a medal issued by Russia for Murmansk Convoy.

Married Beth and has one child and one grandchild. He enjoys gardening and all sports.
