USS West Virginia Veteran

John L. Radford, Yeoman 1/c, born Sept. 29, 1921, Rochester, NY Graduated high school and two years business school. Joined the USN Jan. 10, 1940, and was stationed in USS Boreas, USS West Virginia, USNTC Camp Peary, VA.

Memorable experience was being aboard the Wee Vee on Dec. 7, 1941. Discharged Jan. 9, 1946, and received all the usual medals.
Married Ruth M. Moore and they have two children and five grandchildren. Employed as assistant secretary, VP, A. Friederich & Sons Co. (construction).

He enjoys golfing, fishing, reading and gardening.
