James Jarvis Belvin, served on the West Virginia from 7 April 1937, through 9 December 1941, when he was assigned to the Worden (DD352). Worden sunk. He was then assigned to the Hoel (DD 533) which was lost in the Battle off Samar 25 October 1944.
