Brooks T. Hill, Seaman 1/c, born July 22, 1925, Cross Cut, TX. Education: high school and many service schools. He joined the USN July 15, 1943, and was stationed at NTC San Diego, CA; USS West Virginia (BB-48); PSNS Bremerton, WA; PSC USNB Bremerton, WA. Participated in Leyte, Luzon, Iwo Jima and Okinawa Gunto operations and also in the Philippine Liberation.

Awards and medals include the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal w/4 stars, American Area Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal w/2 stars. He was discharged July 27, 1946.

He and his wife Patsy have three sons, one daughter and six grandchildren. Retired Jan. 3, 1988, as maintenance superintendent, city of San Angelo, TX. His hobby is fishing.
