USS West Virginia Veteran

Joe Goula, 86, of San Marcos died Monday April, 3rd 2006. He was born in Cumberland, R.I., and was a retired Navy chief petty officer. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Marlene Stewart of San Marcos; sister, Ann Buben of Cumberland, R.I.; brother, Walter Goula of Rhode Island; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services: 10 a.m. 04/08/06, McLeod Mortuary Chapel, 1919 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Inurnment: Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Road, Escondido.
