Edward Carl Moff, Cox, born Aug. 28, 1925, Seattle, WA, completed
high school and three years at the National Institute of Music and
Arts. He joined the USN April 30, 1943, and was stationed at NTC
Farragut, ID, and NAS Whidbey Island, WA. Memorable experiences include spending three years on the USS West
Virginia, 6th Div. and trainer on Mt. two, 5" 38 twin, portside
forward. He was discharged on Aug. 27, 1946, with the rank of cox.
Awards include the WWII Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal. He has been married for 37 plus years and has six children, 15
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He worked as a tow boat
captain on the West Coast. He enjoys boat building, fishing, and wood
and metal work.
