Dear Mr. Merrill: You mentioned in your account of Pearl Harbor that you served on the U.S.S. Mahan after the attack on Pearl. I just wondered if you might know my dad, Raymond E. Smith. After mistakenly being reported killed in action at Pearl Harbor, he also served on the Mahan and was on board that ship when it was attacked by kamikazes. (See my posting of June 5) Please let me know if you have any remembrances of this. My dad was a Fire Controlman First Class.
